Congratulations Mr. Erazo!
Mr. Erazo has been nominated by MNU student teacher Manny Oritz as a TEACHER WHO INSPIRES. This is a special award given by the MNU Teacher Education Department annually. Our award is just one small way we can give back to the exemplary educators who serve as our mentors. Manny writes of him:
"Mr. Erazo has given me the opportunity and inspiration to influence children and become an active participant in their lives by hiring me as a Migrant Aide, and by actively playing a role in the Hispanic community. Mr. Erazo is continually sharing his story which depicts the life of a young man who grew up in San Francisco as a gang member, but defied the odds of becoming another statistic in his community, and became an educator in order to influence high-risk students.Through the latter, Mr. Erazo has been a role model and mentor which I believe is an exemplary mentor/teacher. I believe a teacher should establish a lifelong relationship with students, and this is what Mr. Erazo has done, and is committed in doing so."
Erik will receive this award at the annual celebration of learning - The Education Jubilation. CONGRATULATIONS!
