We will be having an A.L.I.C.E. drill with the focus and emphasis of the drill being the lock-down aspect. This drill is part of the new requirement the state of Kansas announced in July. We will conduct this drill early next week. An announcement will be made over the intercom to begin the drill.
The expectation for this drill is door locked and out of sight. During the drill, the expectation is for staff (once you have locked down and are out of sight) to go over some key aspects of the A.L.I.C.E. protocol with students. The protocol and tips for the A.L.I.C.E. drills are listed below. It is important that our students understand and take these drills seriously. Students are not to be on their phones or talking while the drill is in place and should be following instruction and talking points of the A.L.I.C.E. protocol.
