ON Parents, This is a great opportunity for our students. It is absolutely imperative that you evaluate the importance of taking either the ACT or the ACT WorkKeys. Every Junior and eligible Seniors can take one or both exams. Please read below which exam better fits your student. ACT exams are for students that intend to go to a 4 year university. If your student has already made the decision to go to a Junior College or Technical School the ACT may not be the exam your student needs to prepare for their post-secondary goals. Remember that ACT scores impact high schools based on the last exam that every student takes for their graduating class. If your student wants to take the ACT they need to sign up for the FREE ACT PREP CLASSES that Olathe North offers throughout the year. We expect our students to prep for the exam. just showing up to take it is not acceptable. ACT WorkKeys is a newer exam that measures students range of hard and soft skills relevant to any occupation, at any level, and across industries. Additionally, successful completion of WorkKeys assessments can lead to earning a National Career Readiness Certificate® (NCRC®)—a credential that verifies foundational workplace skills. Tens of thousands of employers recognize the value of the NCRC, and many recommend the credential to candidates. This is an exciting chance for our Juniors and Seniors to take this exam for free. ![]()
